CLIMATE & TERROIR: A climate with warm summers and cold
winters. The terroir mainly has elements of weathered
granite and slate.
VINIFICATION: After the intensive soaking period, fermentation
starts and the alcohol percentage can increase. When approximately 8% is
reached, the process is stopped by adding wine alcohol and
the wine matures for 10 years in 630-litre oak barrels.
GRAPES: touriga francesa, tinta roriz, touriga nacional
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 20.00%
NOIS & TASTE: Rich and elegant aroma of ripe berry fruit
combined with delicate notes of nuts, chocolate, butterscotch
and oak.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Served slightly chilled, fantastic in
combination with desserts of red fruit, chocolate or
blue-veined cheeses.
