This Single Cask comes from Trinidad and was distilled in 1993 in a pot still at the world famous Caroni Distillery. The rum has matured for 28 years in an ex-Bourbon cask and is bottled at a nice 49.6% ABV. This barrel is a 'sister barrel' to one of the previous releases that was then nicknamed 'The Beast' so you've been warned!
Nose : First chemical notes of dissolvant, then changing to subtle scents of dried dates, plums and gingerbread.
Taste : Strong aromas of charcoal and rubber, followed by spicy notes and a subtle touch of salt. Intense and long finish.
