CLIMATE & TERROIR: A climate with warm summers and cold
winters. The terroir has elements of weathered granite and
slate.

adding wine alcohol and the wine matures for a period of
(on average) 20 years in oak barrels.
GRAPES: touriga francesa, tinta roriz, touriga nacional
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 20.00%
NOIS & TASTE: Complex, nutty aroma, spicy and jammy with
hints of orange blossom and oak. Very rich and
concentrated flavour with a long, soft finish.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Excellent accompaniment to many desserts. Beautiful
in combination with figs, almonds and caramel crème brulée. Also
delicious with a plate of wild strawberries, walnuts or dried fruit.
FACT: Old tawnies mature in ‘port pipes’. These are old wooden
barrels of 550-600 litres.
