We’re so pleased to highlight the enticing spirit from our friends at White Peak Distillery in Derbyshire, home of the Wireworks Whisky!
And what a cask to start with. White Peak’s single malt filled 5 years ago into a red wine barrique. That’s right, full red wine maturation from an Adelphi single cask! Not something we do very often, but this liquid is tremendous. Creamy nougat, sundried tomatoes, herbal salt, heather, mossy forest floor, Korean barbeque… this dram packs sweetness, salinity, umami, and earthy notes throughout.
Truly unlike any cask we’ve bottled in recent memory, we’re confident this bottling would stand in its own category in almost any whisky collection. Outstanding and unique stuff.
