CLIMATE & TERROIR: Temperate continental climate. The soil of the vineyard located in La Morra consists of limestone and clay with a significant presence of sand.
VINIFICATION: After 21 days of temperature-controlled maceration,
further fermentation takes place in steel. This is followed by maturation of
30 months in oak barrels.
GRAPES: Nebbiolo
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 14.50%
NOIS & TASTE: A full, concentrated wine with, among other things,
black fruit, tar and liquorice. It is powerful with a great
development potential, but already very accessible at a younger age - due to
its pleasant tannin structure.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve with large game, red meat,
preparations with mushrooms or truffles and hard cheeses.
FACT: ‘Conteisa’ is Piedmontese for ‘dispute’ or ‘dispute’. The name
refers to the dispute in the thirteenth century between the municipalities of
La Morra and Barolo over the Cerequio lands that separate these towns.
