Our master brewers go in search of special spirits every year. The aim is to create a special Duvel, different but still recognisable. This year we let our Duvel mature for 6 to 7 months in wooden Kentucky Bourbon barrels, infused with the rich flavours of corn. This gives this Duvel a subtly sweet undertone that distinguishes itself from traditional whiskies. This gives the Duvel a velvety texture with aromas of caramel, vanilla and red fruit.
Perfect to combine with blue cheese, dark chocolate or a classic tarte tatin. Serve this Duvel at 8°C in a small tasting glass to allow all the complex flavours to come into their own.
