The Languedoc is popular with both wine drinkers and winemakers. The possibilities are endless, with the result that the region can offer something for everyone in the form of characterful wines at a competitive price. The region has undergone a spectacular transformation in recent decades. The winemakers in the Languedoc have also adopted the concept of using the name of the grape(s) used as the most important information on the label from the so-called New World. The great advantage of this is that the consumer has a point of recognition and can expect a certain taste pattern. Xavier Roger and Cédric Duquenoy own a wine company in Carcassonne that processes all the healthy grapes from the area into delicious wines. Since 1998, they have been making wines here that the consumer prefers to drink. Smooth, fruity, accessible and above all affordable. Beauté du Sud is a good example of this. CLIMATE & TERROIR: A Mediterranean climate with hot summers and
fairly mild winters. The northern mountains surround the
vineyards like an amphitheatre. The soils of the vineyards
contain chalky sand and red clay full of stones.
VINIFICATION: The grapes undergo a short skin maceration and
are then gently pressed and fermented in French oak barrels.
The wine also matures here.
