And so on October 6th last year, two worlds came together by selecting the best wine barrels in which the Bolla Amarone had been stored. These were shipped to the Clonakilty distillery and then the barrel was filled with Single Irish Pot Still that had first been stored in ex-bourbon barrels for 5 years.
The Single Irish Pot Still is a mix of 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley. From the end of October 2023 to October 1st 2024, this single irish pot still has been finished in the Bolla Amarone barrels.
