Bowmore 18 Years Sherry Cask Finish is a soft brown coloured whisky from Scotland. It has been aged for eighteen years in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, after which it was finished in former oloroso sherry casks. This has allowed a seductive aroma to develop, full of dark chocolate, freshly ground cocoa beans and a firm note of peat. These are balanced by its sweet side full of pineapple and thick dollops of toffee. At the end you will find a refreshing note of grated orange peel. It is this note of orange that can be found in its attack. This ensures a bittersweet start, accompanied by juicy raisins and a brightening wave of anise. A note of cocoa beans takes you to a fruity finish with a complex and deep character. Bowmore 18 Years Sherry Cask Finish has an alcohol percentage of 43%.
