Characteristic of the method of this Nc'nean whiskey is that they release organically produced whiskey that is made with barley from Scotland. Everything in the production process revolves around sustainability; for example, the distillery runs on sustainable energy, they use 100% recycled glass and they look at how they can keep their ecological footprint as small as possible throughout the entire production process.
In terms of ingredients, they obviously use barley, yeast and water for the production of their whisky, as these are the legally required ingredients for this. They do work with different barley varieties, one of which is a traditional barley that distillers use more often, while the other is a fruity and more experimental variety. This gives the whiskey its tasteful and fruity characteristics. A nice detail is that they largely mature their new make spirit in a mix of wine and bourbon barrels.
