Vinification:
After the harvest, the grapes undergo the maceration process of the skins, this takes place under temperature-controlled conditions in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks. After the fermentation process, the wine matures for 24 months in oak barrels of French origin.

Background information:
The Tuscan Winery Melini was founded in 1705 by the Florentine Melini family and is located in Gaggiano at 300 metres above sea level in the hills of Chianti Classico. Melini is one of the most prestigious and important wineries in the Chianti area with a total of 163 hectares in its possession including the vineyards Selvanella, Granaio and Terra Rossa. Winemaker is Alessandro Zanette.
Brunello di Montalcino is perhaps the best wine in Italy. It is a wine made from the grape Sangiovese Grosso, also called Brunello. The powerful taste of Brunello di Montalcino is unique. These wines have a very long storage potential which is rewarded with an engaging aroma and extreme refinement. A Brunello di Montalcino can easily compete with the greatest Grand Crus from France.
