92+ points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Full red. Pungent aromas of black raspberry, crushed stone, licorice pastille, violet and spices. Broad, chewy and backward in the mouth, in a rather masculine, brooding, slightly medicinal style, showing little early sweetness. With its serious structure and notes of wild spices and herbs, this is like a mini-Bonnes-Mares. Needless to say, it will require patience. Drink: 2023-2035. (Mar 2015)"

92 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is also notably cool and pure but with a ripe array of red and blue pinot fruit on the nose where floral, spice and wet stone nuances add breadth. The supporting tannins shaping the concentrated and voluminous middle weight flavors are firm but fine and this is particularly true within the context of a more robust Chambolle 1er like Les Baudes. There is excellent intensity to the muscular but sleek flavors and I very much like the energetic finish that displays fine persistence. Note that this will need all of 10 to 12 years to arrive at its full apogee and 15 would not surprise me. Drink: 2024+. (Apr 2015)"

90-92+ points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2012 Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes stands out from the rest of this range of Chambolles for its rich, broad-shouldered personality. Savory herbs, licorice, new leather and black fruit inform a Chambolle laced with elements of structure and power that recall Bonnes-Mares, which lies just below. Savory herbs, licorice, new leather and black fruit linger on the firm, tannic finish. Drink: 2017-2037. (Jan 2014)"

91 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$138 list] A saline, minerally version, with graphite, cherry, currant and subtle spice notes. The tannins are well-integrated, with a lightly dusty coating on the finish. Best from 2017 through 2029. 52 cases imported. (6/15/15)"
