Macallan is one of the most renowned Scotch whisky distilleries in the world. The name is derived from two Gaelic words: ‘Magh’ (fruitful land) and ‘Ellan’ (from the Scottish saint Saint Fillan), Macallan could be roughly translated as “Fertile Land of Saint Fillan”. A name that carries the heritage and significance of its location, as well as the rich history of the distillery, and since its foundation in 1824 has been known for its dedication to quality and tradition in the production of single malt Scotch whisky.
They specialise in the use of exceptionally high quality casks and the use of unusually small copper pot stills, and have an extensive portfolio of exclusive whiskies with various shades and nuances. In the case of The Macallan Classic Cut, this is a whisky created by leading Whisky Maker Diane Stuart. A whisky that is distilled in the Scottish style in copper pot stills and matured in a combination of European and American oak casks that have previously contained bourbon and sherry. A limited edition that is appreciated by whisky lovers looking for a high-quality product and a distinctive taste experience
