Domaine des Sénéchaux is located in the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and includes
some of the oldest vineyards of this mythical wine region. The vineyards
of the domain date from the fourteenth century. The name is derived
to the nearby Bois de Sénéchaux, where the most important vineyards are located
of the domain. The Cazes family has owned this beautiful property since 2006
domain. Jean-Michel and his son Jean-Charles Cazes are also owners of
the famous Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac and Domaine de l'Ostal in the
Languedoc. In Châteauneuf-du-Pape they continue the work that has been going on since 1998
was performed by Bernard Tranchecoste. The Cazes did the necessary
investments and renovated a number of vineyards with old ones
vines of Grenache, the most important grape for the red Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Despite these renovations, the Cazes have ensured that the classic
preserve the appearance and historical significance of the domain and the wine cellar
stayed.
