The Valley
Valle de Uco is a wine-growing region southwest of Mendoza, Argentina. Situated along the Tunuyán River, the Uco Valley is widely regarded as one of the best wine regions in Mendoza and Argentina. The annual average temperature is 14 ° C and the altitudes range from 900 to 1200 meters above sea level.
The combination of high elevation, alluvial soils, irrigation from the Andes, a long growing season with over 250 sunny days per year, little rain and large temperature differences between day and night are all conducive to the cultivation of quality wine grapes. These elements of climate and geography come together to provide excellent ripening and concentration of fruit, developing colors, aromas, flavors and textures, resulting in wines that are deep in color, intense in aromas and rich in flavors. The Uco Valley plays a prominent role in Argentine viticulture.
