What can you taste?
The Fonseca Vintage Port 2011 has a beautiful bouquet with welcoming scents of freshly picked blackberries, cherries and minerals. This port is very well defined, very concentrated and direct. The taste is silky smooth without a sharp edge, but also not a typical voluptuous Fonseca because of its refined acidity and the structure that gives this powerful port a beautiful backbone. A hint of salted liquorice on the finish is very attractive. This port will become an excellent Fonseca.
Food & Spice:
Delicious with game terrine, foie gras, chocolate, orange, truffle with cinnamon and blue veined cheeses, such as Stilton or Bleu d’ Auvergne.
