Wine description:
A vineyard owned by women for 3 generations. Katja got it from her mother Christa and that from her mother - Gerda Wiesel. In the 1950s, the term Fräuleinwunder stood for young, attractive, modern, confident women. That's how Gerda was then and that's why Katja made her a wine! Fresh, fruity - a typical Moselle Riesling with a subtle (slightly bitter) residual sweetness. Gerda has put a lot of heart and soul into the vines that grow there in the Sonnseit', a steep side valley of the Moselle, and has always known that the vineyard (a southwestern slope with the most beautiful Devonian slate) is something special. However, until now it has never received proper attention due to its unknown location. That should change. And of course the Fräuleinwunder on the label is also Gerda - young and fresh, in her late twenties.
Fräuleinwunder - not just for women!
