Kilchoman is true to the island's rich farm distilling heritage, using local peat cut in the traditional way, slowly distilling by hand, maturing in traditional dunnage warehouses and bottling on site. This single cask has been matured in a fresh bourbon barrel for over six years before being finished in a marsala hogshead for over two years.
