Louis Roederer's Cristal champagne is the most exclusive champagne that is only made in the best years. Once made especially for the Russian Tsar's court, now appreciated by enthusiasts worldwide. Unfortunately extremely scarce.
The grapes come from 4 plots - two in Aÿ, one in Mesnil and one in Avize - all selected for their ripeness and their ability to develop further. There is a spicy and exotic nose with free expressive red fruit and a more pinot-driven shape and structure. The palate has very firm phenols, which will benefit from further aging. The silkiness is especially on the finish. Give this until 2020 and then 10+ years. Lots of powerful, structured style and the regular Cristal. This 2013 Cristal Rosé comes from 100% agriculture on these four plots. Cellar master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon describes the Cristal Rosé as a laser beam in the heavens, very straight, sharp and precise yet elegant, intensely fruity and chalky. Very fine aromas of wild red fruit on the nose, with a beautiful freshness on the chalky heavenly. The delicious champagne is in a beautiful bottle and packed in an extremely luxurious gift box. The 2013 Cristal Rosé has achieved the almost maximum score of 99/100 points from Parker and 98/100 from Suckling and has a drinking window up to 2060+
