A winter ode to art and whisky
Avercamp’s painting, famous for his vivid winter scenes, shows a frozen landscape full of human and animal activity during a harsh winter. The eye for detail and the raw reality – with even a grim scene in the left corner – make this work special and authentic. A perfect match with the robust, distinctive style of Laphroaig.
This artwork is a symbolic choice for the holidays. The powerful taste of this Islay Single Malt, combined with the atmospheric theme of Avercamp, makes the Old Particular Laphroaig 12 YO the ultimate gift. Whether you are making someone else happy or enjoying it yourself by the fireplace, this whisky promises an unforgettable experience.
Tasting notes
The Old Particular Laphroaig 12 YO was distilled in April 2012 and bottled in May 2024, at a cask strength of 57.3% vol.
Thanks to the use of a refill barrel and the choice for non-chill filtering, this whisky retains its natural colour and powerful flavour profile.
Expect the characteristic peat smoke of Laphroaig, combined with complex aromas of sea salt, herbs and a hint of citrus.
As usual in the Dutch Dram Masters series, this is a single cask whisky. Only 264 bottles are available, which makes this edition extra exclusive. Be quick, because gone = gone!
