This wine is made exclusively from Corvina grapes from three to ten year old vines on the fertile limestone and volcanic hills around Colognola ai Colli in the province of Verona. The very carefully picked bunches are destemmed, the grapes soaked for a while and then pressed very carefully. The beautiful juice therefore already contains the most beautiful fruit acids and few bitters when the fermentation takes place. The subsequent lactic acid fermentation provides the final wine with its silky and creamy structure.
The beautiful ruby, red-purple colored wine has floral aromas of red roses and violet in the nose, next to traces of red and black currants, plum, blackberry and raspberry. On the palate, Scaia Rossa is soft creamy with a balanced juicy freshness and the right amount of tannins. It makes it ideal to enjoy every day. Whether as a delicious red aperitif or as a pleasant accompaniment to starters, pasta, risotto, grilled meat, dried sausage and cheese from the mountains.
