CLIMATE & TERROIR: The soils are rich in limestone, slate,
clay and sand. The grapes come mainly from the Pajoré vineyard in Treiso. A small part comes from the vineyards in
Serralunga.
VINIFICATION: The grapes are fermented separately in stainless steel
tanks. After malolactic conversion, the wines are blended and the final wine
matures for 12 months in oak barrels.
GRAPES: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Merlot
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 14.00%
NOISE & TASTE: Full and complex, but round and juicy with aromas
of violets, strawberries, cherries, plums, subtle notes of saffron and
a long finish.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Ideal wine with rich meat dishes or with mature
cheeses. FACT: The name is derived from the Moresco family, the previous owner of the plot in the Pajorè vineyard that Gaja purchased in 1979.
