CLIMATE & TERROIR: Originating from the various hills around the
town of Bergheim in the southern part of Alsace (Haut-Rhin), with
predominantly clay and/limestone soil.
VINIFICATION: The hand-picked grapes are
immediately pressed with a pneumatic press upon arrival. This is followed by
traditional, temperature-controlled vinification.
GRAPES: sylvaner
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 13.00%
NOISE & TASTE: Intense nose with citrus fruit and clearly some
complexity. In the taste also pleasantly light citrus fruit with a
dry and elegant finish. Charming wine with a nice balance.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Goes well with a nice charcuterie board
or fruits de mer.
FACT: The Sylvaner, also called Silvaner outside France, is
a grape that has traditionally been grown on a large scale in Alsace.
