This port has a “full body” and a silky nose of dried fruit, fresh nuts and herbs. In the mouth, powerful but elegant aromas of candied fruit, figs and hints of liquorice dominate. A complex taste palette that seems to have no end in the persistent aftertaste.
CLIMATE & TERROIR: A climate with warm summers and cold
winters. The terroir has elements of slate and schist.
VINIFICATION: After the intensive soaking period, the fermentation continues. When approximately 8% has been reached, the process is stopped by
adding wine alcohol, after which the wine rests for almost 2 years in
wooden barrels. Further maturation takes place in the bottle. GRAPES: touriga francesa, tinta roriz, touriga nacional, tinta
amarela, tinta barroca, tinta cão
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 20.50%
NOISE & TASTE: Full and soft with dried fruit, fresh nuts and
spices. The taste is dominated by powerful but elegant aromas

SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve with desserts and great with
almonds or walnuts and aged cheeses.
FACT: Taylor’s Vintage ports are mainly
composed of wines from Quinta de Vargellas and Quinta de Terra
Feita.
