The Akkeshi Usui is the first blended whiskey from this Japanese distillery located on the island of Hokkaido. A blend of single malts from Akkeshi that have been aged for at least three years, supplemented with imported new make spirits that have been aged in Japan and a small amount of imported grain whisky. It is the second release in a long series inspired by the Japanese sekki calendar which is scheduled for 24 seasons throughout the year. Each new release will have the name of the season in which the bottling took place. The Usui was bottled in 2021 at 48% ABV.
