The Daily Dram series comes with two new bottlings, in which the taste influence of sherry casks has been chosen. In this case, it concerns two expressions of The Glenrothes Distillery. The whiskeys are both ten years old. The difference is in the second maturation, after having spent 8 years in ex-bourbon casks. The whiskeys were transferred to another cask, where they spent another two years.
The second maturation of bottling one took place on OLOROSO casks, while the second maturation of the second bottling took place on PALO CORTADO casks. So this gives you a great opportunity to taste and compare the impact these sherry casks have on the whisky!
To make these two bottles into a beautiful whole, the label design has also been thought of. A black background with a fiery image that immediately brings to mind Spain. On the Oloroso variant you will recognize a toreador, while on the Palo Cortado variant a flamenco dancer is depicted.
