Grans Muralles, literally 'big walls', is a reference to the walls that were supposed to protect the Poblet monastery. This top wine from Torres comes from the unknown sub-area DO Conca de Barberí in Catalunya. The wine is a blend of the well-known Spanish grapes garnacha, monastrell and cariñena, supplemented with the indigenous varieties querol and garrò. The special character of the Grans Muralles comes from the exceptional licorella soil, rich in slate. After 18 months of wood maturation, a complex and intense wine is created with the taste of dark red fruit, cocoa and cloves.
