Torres is originally from Penedès, but also has vineyards in Chile and therefore also Priorat, south of Barcelona. This exceptional wine region is known for its llicorella soil: slate. It was worked by monks for centuries, until the vineyard was destroyed by the barbarians in 1835. Torres replanted the vineyard 150 years later and rediscovered the fantastic potential of this area. The name Salmos is a reference to the old monks, it means psalm in English. This intense wine is made from cariñena, garnacha and syrah.
