The grapes are 100% of the Tempranillo variety. The Marquesa is the youngest wine in the Valserrano wine series. As far as wood maturation is concerned, La Marquesa has less wood maturation than a Crianza, but just too much to call it a Joven. A term that is also used in this context is semi Crianza: Valserrano has given the wine 8 months of wood maturation in French and American oak barrels. The character of the wine is fruity and juicy, but with depth due to the wood maturation. Aromas of cherries are clearly smelled and tasted, but also spices, green herbs and with a light touch of vanilla and toast. It is a delicious wine for every day; it will not bore you!
