The Merlot Gran Reserva 2012 is a blend from eight different vineyard sites in the Maipo Valley of Chile. 86% of blend is Merlot from two vineyard sites at our Isla Maipo Estate. 9% of the blend is Syrah from our Isla Maipo riverside site and a Coastal Maipo hillside vineyard. For more structure 5% Petite Verdot was blended sourced from the Senda hillside vineyard in the Melipilla region of Maipo. The wine was aged 12 months in French and Amreican oak barrels with minimal racking and no ning before bottling.
