Tarapacá Gran Reserva Pinot Noir
Tarapacá has different ways of making wine.
This series contains all top wines. With respect for the grapes and the selection of the very best plots (alluvial with pebbles), the pure character, finesse and balance can be obtained. This means still nice to drink, despite the power and concentration!!
Pinot Noir Gran Reserva is a blend of 4 different vineyards from the cool coastal area. 86% is from 3 vineyards from Leyda Valley.
Vineyard Cheuque is located in the Coastal mountains and has a soil with clay and a (warm) Northern exposure. These grapes give sweet plum flavors and honey tones.
Vineyard Canelo consists of a granite soil, a cool west exposure and gives elegant Pinot Noir with fresh cherry and flower aromas.
Vineyard Araña consists of weathered granite soil and gives classic Pinot Noir with cherry and raspberry. These grapes are fermented in stainless steel to preserve the typical fruit.
14% of the Pinot Noir comes from an old vineyard in Casablanca valley
Drink with: Grilled steaks and with nice spicy farmer's cheeses.
Tasting note: Stunning dark red color and aromas of ripe fruit such as cherry, plum and honey. In the taste sultry, very intense with a nice balance between soft tannins, sultry juicy fruit tones and aromas of strawberry and cedar.
Shelf life: The wine is beautifully ready to drink when it comes on the market. This can mature for 8-10 years, but drunk within 5 years the wine gives a lot of fresh fruit pleasure. Top, fresh with nice fruit.
