The 2013 Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from two vineyard sites in the Leyda Valley of Chile only 7 kilometers from the Pacic coast. Leyda Sauvignon Blanc is known for pungent herbal avors and mineral notes and great natural acidity. 80% of the grapes were machine harvested at night for extended skin maceration. 20% were hand harvested and whole cluster pressed.
90% of the grapes were fermented cold (12ºC – 14ºC) in stainless steel tanks to retain all the fresh fruit expression. 10% was fermented warmer in used French oak barrels to add layers of complexity and richness to the palate.
