Taste profile:
Dried fruit, cherries, red berries, fine structure of tannins and a fairly long finish.
Vinification:
After a few days of pre-fermentation, the traditional fermentation follows on stainless steel. Subsequently, the wine undergoes 2 years of maturation in wooden barrels. Then for a few months of bottle maturation before the wine is marketed. Approximately 10 years of storage potential.

Roasted meat, game, various dishes with truffle and cheeses.
Background information:
The Tuscan Winery Melini was founded in 1705 by the Florentine Melini family and is located in Gaggiano at 300 meters above sea level in the hills of Chianti Classico. Melini is one of the most prestigious and important wineries in the Chianti area with a total of 163 hectares in its possession, including the vineyards Selvanella, Granaio and Terra Rossa. Winemaker is Alessandro Zanette.
